WorkLedger guide
15-day trial
A valid new device registration starts WorkLedger's server-controlled 15-day trial. Registration, trial, and full-license statuses are separate, and you can review them in Settings → Licensing / Application. Reinstalling or registering repeatedly does not restart the trial.

Understand the 15-day trial cycle
Register the device
WorkLedger creates the server-controlled trial after a valid new device registration. Internet access is required for registration. Registration exchanges device and licensing information with the WorkLedger licensing service; it does not upload ordinary worker, attendance, wage, site-finance, or other operational records.
The 15-day trial begins
For a normal new registration, the server creates the trial when it accepts and records the valid device registration. The trial start and expiry are stored by the licensing system, and the server calculates the remaining days. Reinstalling WorkLedger or registering repeatedly does not restart the trial.
Use WorkLedger during the trial
While the server reports an active trial and the device remains authorized, WorkLedger allows normal trial use. Use this period to check the workflow you need, such as sites, workers, attendance, wages, site finance, reports, and backups, before full-license activation.
Check the trial status
Open Settings → Licensing / Application to review Registration, Trial, Days remaining, Trial expiry, License, and Last successful check. These fields show the registration review state, the server-controlled trial period, the separate full-license state, and when WorkLedger most recently completed a licensing check successfully.
Registration approval is separate from activation
Registration may begin as Pending and later become Approved. Approval does not by itself activate a full license. Registration: Approved, Trial: Active, and License: Not activated is a valid combination: the registration is approved, the trial is still authorizing use, and no full license is active.
Watch the remaining trial days
WorkLedger displays the remaining days reported by the licensing service. While registration is Pending and the trial is active, the app can show a Trial Active notice during startup with the remaining days and approval-pending message. The current implementation does not use a separate reminder threshold beginning after day 10.
What happens when the trial expires
When the server-controlled trial reaches its expiry and no active full license authorizes the installation, WorkLedger shows Trial Expired and blocks normal licensed access until an active license is available. Trial expiry does not delete the local business records stored on the device; licensing access and local-data backup are separate concerns.
Activate WorkLedger for continued licensed use
Full-license activation is separate from registration approval and the trial. After an applicable full license is activated, a successful licensing check should show the active license state and authorize continued use. See the related Registration and licensing guide for the complete workflow.
If the trial status looks wrong
Confirm internet access and the device date and time, open Settings → Licensing / Application, and use Check License Now. If the status still appears incorrect, contact WorkLedger support. Reinstalling is not a trial-reset method. Create a current backup before uninstalling, clearing application storage, changing devices, or attempting corrective steps that could endanger locally stored business data.
